The warning, covering parts of Northern England and much of Scotland, is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday evening. Forecasters warn that gusts could exceed 100mph in exposed coastal and upland areas.
What to Expect
Significant disruption to travel, including road closures and cancelled flights, is highly likely. Power outages could affect hundreds of thousands of homes across the affected regions.
